Bollywood is rich with cinematography producing top caliber movies that are making it not only in the Indian market but also in the international screens. The film’s total gross is 104.43 crore of US$19.74 Million since the 50 days it was released.
9. Barfi

Barfi is an Indian romantic comedy movie that stars Ranbir kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz. It is all about a story of a mute and deaf boy named Barfi in West Bengal. He had relationships with two girls in which one of them is autistic. The film was regarded with positive applause from the general public. Positive reviews and high grades from various critics added to the further gross income of the movie. As per general comment of those who have seen the movie, it leaves you with the feeling of happiness after seeing the film.
Barfi was made with a budget of 30 crore of US$5.67 Million. After the first release last September, it was declared as box office hit where it grossed about 8.56 crore or US$1.62 million on the first opening day. For just 17 days the movie grossed $5.57 million from international screens. The film had English version and became an official entry for the Best Foreign Film for the 85th Academy Awards this coming February of 2013.
8.Kahaani

Kahaani (Story) is a Bollywood thriller film featuring Vidya Balan, Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The movie touches a sensitive theme which is feminism in the modern world of India. The lead star is a pregnant woman searching for her husband in Kolkata City during the height of Durga Puja festival. The film was taken with a budget of 8 crore or US$1.51 million. Its first release to the public was last March. Although the first weeks were not that high for the movie, still it progressed to gain high acclaims. The film received positive feedbacks and reviews from various movie critics which made the film a blockbuster hit making gross revenue of 104 crore or US$19.66 Million.
7. Talaash

Talaash is a Bollywood suspense thriller movie produced and starred by Amir Khan. Other lead roles are Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor. The movie is yet to be released in the month of November. The movie is made with a budget of 40 crore. Movie critics and public viewers anticipate the movie as another blockbuster hit for the year 2012.
6.Bol Bachchan

BolBachchan is an Indian comedy film with stars Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Prachi Desai and Asin. The movie is actually a remake of the film GolMaal which was popular during 1979. It is another hit movie in Bollywood that received praises from domestic and international viewers. The film had a budget of 70 crore or US$13.23 Million. The film was released last July and made a hit both locally and internationally.
5. Dabbang 2

Dabbang 2 or Fearless is a follow up action film Dabbang which was first released last 2010. The film revolves around the life of the cop named Chulbul Pandey. The film was considered as another top grossing film with a budget of 30 crore and gross income of 215 crore. Critics and reviews of the public were positive. In fact, the movie won several awards such as the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
4. Housefull 2

Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen is a Bollywood comedy film as a sequel to the 2010 Housefull. The stars of the movie Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Asin Thottumkal and John Abraham evoked a lot of reviews and critics from domestic and international audience. Generally, the public’s response to the film was positive with majority of the viewers think that it is better than its predecessor. It is another box office hit with total gross income of 182 crores.
3. Agneepath

Agneepath is another blockbuster hit in Bollywood. It is an action drama film starred by Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt and other famous stars in Bollywood. The movie is filmed with a budget of 60 crore or US$11.34 Million but resulted to gross income of 193 crore or US$36.48 Million since its release on the first month of the year.
2. Rowdy Rathore

Rowdy Rathore is a blockbuster movie for the year 2012. It is a romantic action movie starred by Akshay Kumar (Shiva) and Sonakshi Sinha (Priya). The movie is made with a budget of 40 crore or US$7.56 Million. It became an instant hit when it was first released on June 1, 2012. The overall gross gained by the movie is 201 crore or US$37.99 million. Due to this, Rowdy Rathore has been declared as one of the top grossing films in Bollywood.
1.Ek Tha Tiger

EkTha Tiger has the highest gross revenue for the Bollywood movies of 2012. It is a romantic action thriller starred by Salman Khan (Tiger) and Katrina Kaif (Zoya). Most of the reviews and critics revealed the first half as dragging while the second half as very surprising. The fight scenes are perfectly timed with sequences that make the viewer’s hearts beat faster. According to many reviews, the movie is a must see movie of the year.
The movie is the highest grosser for the year 2012 with gross income of almost $58.02 Million or 307 crore. The budget for the movie is about 75 crore. Surely, the investment for the movie is truly worth it since the movie is truly a blockbuster hit.
