sun screaning

sun screaning
Our skin is our most important protective organ. Its vulnerable to being damaged by excess sun exposure through sunlight. The sun's rays can cause many skin ailments and disorders. Excessive sun exposure accounts for 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging. Many skin changes that were commonly believed to be due to aging, such as easy bruising, are actually a result of prolonged exposure to UV radiation. Long-term exposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays can damage your skin. To protect it, stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the rays are at their strongest.

  • Wear a hat to effectively cover your face, neck and ears.
  • When leaving the house drink lots of fluids to prevent yourself from dehydration.
  • If you can't protect yourself by staying out of the sun or wearing the right kind of clothing, use sunscreen to help protect you.
  • A pair of sunglasses that also provide shade at the side will give good protection for eyes.
  • Moisturizer and oil based sunscreen lotions are suitable for dry skin.
  • Wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirt, pants, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.
