Tropical environment Skyrim mod brings Elder Scrolls to the beach

If there are two things the Elder Scrolls franchise is known for, it’s extensive modding, and immersive, sprawling environments. Some of you might not have been able to get into the latest Elder ScrollsSkyrim, because of the grey-white, frequently desolate snowy environments. If that’s the case, and you prefer a more brightly-colored world, a new, extensive Skyrim mod is right up your alley. It turns those snowy mountains into lush tropical forests, and those desolate wastelands into sunny beaches.
At a glance — then even after a longer look — the mod turns the game into something reminiscent of Far Cry. The mod doesn’t just add some palm trees and change the color of the grey and brown sand to bright yellow and tan, but changes almost everything environmental that it can. The sky is less gloomy and more conducive to a good picnic, the water is clearer and brighter, and even some of the fauna has been replaced. Pandas take the place of some of the world’s bears, apes replace trolls, and raptors replace wolves.
Tropical Skyrim
The mod is fairly extensive, livening up the dreary world of Skyrim, while making you realize that you need a vacation and should spend a week at an island resort. Most of the buildings in the game have been retextured to fit the tropical theme as well.
It’s important to note that the mod doesn’t create any new areas in the game, but replaces textures instead. So, you won’t be transported to a new, tropical continent filled with fetch quests where you have to bring beach jarls some dragon margaritas. It’ll be  cave-crawling and dragon-killing as per the norm, but through lush, green environments instead of cold, grey ones.
