M3CH Kickstarter wants to put you in a Mechanized Assault Walker on iOS

There have been a few great mech games released recently, and each of them has gained a fair bit of attention. While Mechwarrior Online looks to preserve some of the original tabletop concepts, andHawken looks to shift mech combat to a faster-paced experience, there’s not a ton of room for innovation available in the middle. There’s even fewer titles available on mobile platforms, due mostly to the difficulties found in multiplayer and hardware requirements.
Small Impact Games is trying to change that, though, and wants to bring full on 3D mech combat to mobile platforms. And so they have created a game called M3CH and launched a Kickstarter to help finish developing it.

The video attached to the M3CH Kickstarter shows a game that looks mostly finished. While the team briefly mentions some of the existing challenges that lay before them, it sounds like the game itself is very nearly finished. The in-game action resembles the tactical stylings of Mechwarrior, while the robots themselves look like they have taken pages from all sorts of mech titles.
M3CH promises to be functional and enjoyable on all current generation iOS hardware, including the iPad, iPad Mini, iPod touch, and iPhone, for multiplayer and single player combat. In the hands-on shown in some of the other videos in the Kickstarter, it’s clear that the game scales really well across the different sized screens.
The M3CH Kickstarter offers up a variety of different price points to jump in on, similar to a Founder’s Program seen in other games. The more you contribute to the Kickstarter, the more mechs you will have available to you when the game is launched. The Kickstarter itself has a lot of the game development thoroughly documented, as well as a Harlem Shake video starring some of the mechs from the game.
