The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server is used to send mail from an email program like Microsoft Outlook. These servers have Web addresses like “mail.server.com” or “smtp”.
Step 1:- Go into the start menu, then run, and type “cmd” the shortcut code (without the quotes) in the box that appears. Press enter to execute the command . As well as a command window will appear after the execution starts.
Step 2:- Go with in the CMD and type “ping” (without the quotes), with the space, and then the with the name of your SMTP Server you are using.
Eg – “ping smtp.server.com” and press enter.
The window will defiantly try to contact your SMTP server by the IP address. The Screen will display,
“Pinging x.x.x.x with 32 bytes of data.” where the “x.x.x.x” will be the SMTP server’s IP address.
What is my SMTP Server address ?
Your SMTP server is “mail.yourdomain.com” once the name servers of your domain have been pointed at our DNS servers and the change has propagated (24-48 hours). If you wish to use the SMTP server before your domain has fully migrated to us, please use either the IP address or the host name of the server provided .
